Well Assist

Well Assist is an application developed to assist all drilling personal in performing routine calculations required while drilling oil and gas wells (hydraulics, cementing, directional, well control, etc.). The main goal of Well Assist is to ‘Maximize outputs with minimum inputs’. It provides users with a tool to make their job easier and less stressful while allowing them to apply the more technical aspects of drilling.

To use Well Assist efficiently, each hole section should be saved so that the file can be reopened on the next well with very little changes. For example, if starting a well with a 22” hole section a file should be saved as ‘22” hole section’. After completion of the 22” hole section a new file should be created as ‘17-1/2” hole section’ and so on. This way, on the next well, the files can be re-opened and used with very little changes.

At the start of every hole section the user will fill out wellbore, BHA and mud properties; Then as drilling progresses, the user will only need to change the bit depth and mud properties as they change and all relative information will be available to the user at a push of a button such as: hydraulics, trip sheet, directional calculations, cementing, kill sheets (including Stripping, Volumetric and Lubricate and Bleed) , displacement calculations, integrity tests’, inflow tests’, kick tolerance, accumulator sizing, etc. This allows the user to be prepared for any situation in very little time which is very important in today’s fast paced drilling environment.

To navigate and optimize use there is a help section for every page of the application located on the top right corner of the screen.

Can be used on any computer through an app player such as BlueStacks.
